Hi, yes that's correct. All you need to do to restore the server fully is that data folder. If you want to save space, you can omit the icon_cache folder.
There is no automatic backup of the db or anything like that.

What @mprasil said is correct, so I'm closing this, but you are right that the readme is a bit barebones in its current state. If you want to help expand the documentation I would very much appreciate it!
