.emacs.d's Introduction

Mai Emacs Configuration

Here’s my Emacs setup that I use on the daily.

The configuration depends on Org mode. init.el sets up a few initial GUI settings, bootstraps use-package, and loads config.org, which is where the majority of the configuration magic happens.

.emacs.d's Issues

How does this work?

Hi, I came over here from your excellent video on Youtube.

I tried to follow your approach but it doesn't work for me. Looking at your init.el, I don't understand how it works. Don't you need at least a (require 'org) call before the call to (org-babel-load-file...)?

EDIT: It works as advertised thought I don't understand as of yet, how. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Mac Customizations

I liked the customization with mac. I can play with cmd key. But with those customization enable, I am not able to use { and } keys and also [ and [ key. Is there any way to use the cmd keybinding along with getting those brackets.

error starting up

On GNU Emacs 24.4.1

$ emacs -nw --debug-init
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (file-error "Cannot open load file" "no such file or directory" "s")

which is on line 185 of config.el:

(require 's)
(let* ((cmd "sw_vers -productVersion")

any idea what this is? I think the idea of org mode for init files is genius.

server-start twice?

Why do you have server-start twice? Once in init.el and then again at the end of config.org in the "Emacsclient" section.
