Command line utility for performing various operations on the AudioAddict radio network.

Install

Please note that in order to use this gem you need to have an AUdioAddict account (free or premium) at one of the AudioAddict networks.

$ gem install audio_addict

Usage

• Run the radio command to see a list of available subcommands.
• To see additional help, run radio <subcommand> --help

audio_addict's Issues

Consider adding cache command

Mainly to clear cache.

Improve playlist generation

Perhaps simplify the config YAML to key: Channel Name rows.

Complete test coverage

Fix special `electro` channel case

Currently the Digitally Imported / Electro House channel has a key named electro while its playlist entry is in fact electrohosue - there is no way to determine this actual key from the API.

A ticket was opened at DI support, but if they do not fix, we might need to create a hardcoded patch for this channel.

Add a command to show like log

And perhaps do some more operations on it, like sort, or provide a youtube link, or create if it does not exist.

Add a command to show track history

If we do this, we should probably allow voting on recently played tracks.

Add help command

This could be nice if we use TTY::Markdown together with TTY::Pager to show a user friendly, colorful help.

Add config command

To show the entire config, open it in the editor, and allow direct setting and deleting of values.

This command should also mention the hidden config keys, such as cache related keys and like_log.

Consider adding a raw API command

To perform API commands directly and get YAML/JSON in return.

Consider adding ability to set favorite network/channel combination

Perhaps the set command should have a memory of what was set in the past, and then it can show this list before showing the general network/channel menus. For example:

$ radio set
Select:
> Digitally Imported > Dance
  Rock Radio > Modern Rock
  Other

When selecting Other it will proceed to the usual selection menus and remember it for future reference.
