Lyrics Spicetify is a Spotify extension that allows you to display the lyrics of the song currently playing.

Installation

• Download the command-line tool to customize Spotify client.
• Do not forget to download the globals.d.ts file and add it to the main spicetify-cli folder.
• Then add the spotifyLyrics.js file (from this repository) to the Extensions folder (in .spicetify\Extensions).
• Finaly replace the extension line with extensions = spotifyLyrics.js in the config file and do this line : spicetify apply on the command prompt.

Enable the Lyrics Mode

Enable the mode in the Spotify Menu (in the top right).

Click on the "LYRICS" button (next to the skip button) to display the lyrics.

lyrics-spicetify's Issues

doesnt work

When I go on the button for settings nothing plops up that says lyrics mode

lyrics display wrong when launching spotify and continue playing the song from an older session

Cannot read property 'prepend' of undefined

When I try to use this extension, I get this error on the Chrome console:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'prepend' of undefined
    at spotifyLyrics (spotifyLyrics.js:44)
    at spotifyLyrics.js:148

Could you please help me change the button?

Hey. I know this is weird, and probably disrespectful, but could you help me please change your extension a little? It's good, but I love the genius annotations, so I use genius-spicetify, but unfortunately it doesn't have lyrics-button in the player. I'm not a programmer, and I absolutely don't understand anything about it, but I think it's possible make it so that when I click it, I would be thrown into the genius custom app tab?

In case you agree to help me, maybe this will make it faster))

I also replaced the word "Lyrics" with emoji, but the button remained too large, is there any way to change its size?

UI Fixes

Hi, firstly thanks for this awesome extension!

I made a couple fixes and changes to the UI. If you like it I will open a PR.

1. Updated the lyrics button to use an SVG icon so it's cleaner and takes less space (royalty free SVG used)
2. I removed most styling from the lyrics container so that it matches the users theme.
3. The lyrics container is now on the right hand side like the friend bar for consistency.
4. You can now scroll in the lyrics container so you can see all the lyrics.
5. Not sure how but the close button now works again. This fixes #1

cant enable plugin

i know how its enabled, but I'm currently using dribbblish theme and cant click the arrow down button and enable the plugin, is there any way for me to enable it?

no `extra-controls-container` element

I don't know what it's supposed to refer to but there is no element with class extra-controls-container
not using any themes

'Close' Button doesn't work

I love this! My only issue so far is that the X button I assume is meant to close the lyrics doesn't quite work, I have to hover my cursor just below the X to get it to close it.
