credit-ontology's Issues

Include CASRAI IDs in class annotations

From @marijane on December 9, 2016 8:47

Each of the CRediT Taxonomy roles has a unique ID in the CASRAI Dictionary. We should include this ID in the annotations on the role classes, but it's not clear if there is an existing OBO annotation property that should be used for this. The alternate term property does not seem quite right to me.

Punctuation in labels of writing terms?

From @marijane on December 9, 2016 8:54

CASRAI has styled these roles as follows:

  • Contributor Roles/Writing – original draft
  • Contributor Roles/Writing – review & editing

I removed the punctuation from these terms, but I'm wondering if I should have left them in? I couldn't find anything in the OBO Tutorial or naming conventions that recommends anything about punctuation.

compatibility with credit taxonomy

some of the terms were modified from the credit taxonomy, see #3.

For compatibility issue, I would "revert" the #name tag to the credit taxonomy term, as present on http://credit.niso.org/implementing-credit/

I do not know how to deal with capitalisation of the terms, though. It is indeed not a big deal to build compatible workflow when only the capitalisation is different.

I have indeed problems to find a way to tell my code that
Writing – review & editing == writing review and editing role

while I have not problem with
project administration role== Project administration:

grepl (Project administration,project administration role, , ignore.case = TRUE)

ODK inserts an obolibrary version IRI

We need this to use a purl.org URI
Also need to figure out how to make it work correctly. I attempted to implement purl.org/credit/releases but it doesn't work the way obolibrary purls appear to work.

Picking a persistent URL for this ontology

As I'm reading up on how to set up a w3id, I realized that there are a couple options to consider for the persistent URL for this ontology. Here is what I'm considering...

Use the same slug as the GitHub repo: https://w3id.org/credit-ontology
Use a nested/patterned URL strategy: https://w3id.org/credit/ontology

I find the second appealing because it feels more elegant. It would allow setting up multiple redirects, for example we could point https://w3id.org/credit/taxonomy at the casrai dictionary entry for the taxonomy, if that's something we would want to do.

Update Zenodo Badge

Zenodo has access to our repository, I think all it needs is for us to do another release.

License?

We should probably add a license to this repository, not sure which one. Note that CRediT is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
