datausa-site's Issues

color growing occupations by their parent group

Before I can hook this up in the profiles, we need colors for the BLS occupations and industry classifications. @melteng, I uploaded those lists to the google doc for coloring. I can take over this issue once the colors are there.

  • assign colors for BLS occupations
  • assign colors for BLS industries
  • assign colors for IO industries
  • put colors in javascript file
  • hook up in the profile yaml

age ranks are confusing/unnecessary

right now, age ranks go from oldest to youngest. either direction seems weird to rank, so we've decided to remove any instance of age rank

warning text/design for things with high MoE and low num_records

If a statistic or visualization element has less than a certain cutoff of num_records, or the MoE is greater than the value, we should display text/visuals denoting this.

Maybe for stats it's an asterisk with hover text, and with design elements they get a specific class that can be styled in CSS.
