phudbase's Issues

macro support

in-built warnings on macro size limit, or implement guided batching of macros by allowing the user to add time delay insertion points in the macro

automated cmds from the app should be hidden from the user

For daemonized tasks, implement user-defined polling for efficiency.

This might spam history cmd output, and automated input would need to be hidden from the user somehow, so it doesn't interfere with cmds that are manually typed, and possibly echoed on screen after type.

During UI interaction, interesting events should contain data describing that it is of a type not to be displayed, eg: foo.fire({ "type":"system", "data":({"bar":69, "mine":"yours"}), "visibleTo": ["debug", "admin"] });

Telnet Connections Simply Don't Work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Telnet
2. Type Text
3. Only first character of input is read

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

You expect to be able to input text until a carriage return from the
keyboard

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

1.21 on Telnet from Windows XP

Please provide any additional information below.

I know why it's happening -- You are using recv() and with telnet, the data
is transmitted by keystroke which means recv() is receiving the single
character and processing it immediately not waiting for a complete input
string, since it's receiving the input character-by-character. This error
does not appear in WebSockets because a browser sends the entire message
all at once. To fix it you need to cache your input buffer for telnet
connections until a carriage return is received and then process the input.

Alternatively you could come help me work on Kusht! (^^,)

logging support

  • color
  • continue or new log
  • definable storage points (integration? dropbox, box, drive)

ANSI codes not being parsed the way it should

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Any MOO using ANSI

ANSI codes are not parsed as you would expect them to be.

   Example:  [red]Red will become [blue]blue, will become[normal]black.
-> Output:   [red]Red will become [blue]blue, will become[normal][red]black.
<- Last part shouldn't be red! It stays red (over several lines of text) until
a new color code is found.
-> Expected: [red]Red will become [normal][blue]blue, will become[normal]black

I have attached a working ansi-parser writen in PHP what I have once used for a
webclient. I hope you can put it to good use within this wonderful project!

Tim van Dijen

allow for multiple connections

encapsulate functionality within module pattern to sandbox each instance that connects, and simply switch a View, and the Views' defined settings & features, with another View. Each View/MUD connection may be linked to some kind of UI tab which may be navigated through.
