Switch off native presence detection on the Nest Thermostat and use group.residents to trigger eco and heat modes

Turn off Nest's native schedule and self learning. Use HA to control schedule taking into account the inside and outside temp, predicted temp (warm up/cool down in advance), residents location (on the way home?), residents sleeping etc

Manual Full/Partial lockdown

Seperate from the Alarm, allow manual lockdown of specific areas of the home.

e.g.
Full Lockdown - All external PIRs and doors will trigger Slack Alerts
Partial Lockdown - All external doors will trigger Slack Alerts
Manual Lockdown - Individually turn on Slack Alerts for specific sensors

Take into account public holidays provided by Google Calendar so that automatons such as the House Alarm are adjusted accordingly.

Using Google Home bluetooth, try to track specific rooms that Residents are in.

Add a slight delay so that slack isn't spammed with motion detection messages while alarm is active.
