What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?

• Explore existing MUI components and templates

• Read documentation for Berry template

• Explore the components within the template and modify them to fit our project

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

• Project failed to build after integrating the template in.

• Released API key by accident in a commit.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?

• Develop user stories to help define clear workflows

• Look into the default state of the reducer

What did you work on this past iteration?

• Showing the buses when a bus stop is clicked
• Added interval fetching so bus locations are updated in real-time
• Fixed mobile search so the website now works in mobile view

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)?

• Implementing the coin tracking mechanism and/or authentication
• Fixing a couple of bugs and improving the UX on bus capacity reporting

Setup simple back-end server with Node and Express

Set up MUI template and basic components

Switch to bus view when a bus stop is clicked

When a user clicks on a bus stop, we want to switch to the "bus view" where we show the buses that are serving that particular stop.

Mockup infobox for bus stops

Mockup the infobox which pops up when you click on a bus stop

Connect front-end search to lookup routes in database

• Went over our implementation and made a list of to-dos.

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (3 weeks)?

• Look into search bar and related features in mobile view

• Work on bus-capacity reporting feature

Add redux toolkit boilerplate code

Mockup homepage design

Mockup a homepage which shows the navbar (home and about page), full-width map, logo and sidebar with favourite bus routes

Add dummy bus stop locations to the map (as markers/icons)

Implement a map on the homepage

• Highlighting the selected bus and bus stop
• Fixed bug in geolocation search
• Presentation prep

What would you like to work on in the future?

• Implementing the coin tracking mechanism and/or authentication
• Improving DB responsiveness

Show info in sidebar when a bus stop is clicked

When a bus stop is clicked we want to:

• display stop name (and stop number) in the side bar
• display bus destinations on sidebar to distinguish bus directions

Re-implement bus stop scraper in back-end

Implement infobox when clicking on a bus stop

Clicking on a bus stop should open an infobox on the map which shows dummy data about upcoming buses and their capacity

• Cleaning up styling in and reformatting the MUI template
• Modifying UI behaviour to reset when the search result is cleared

What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

• Spent a good bit of time exploring the redux setup in the template

What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (3 weeks)?

• Integrating the Atlas MongoDB with our upcoming back-end
• Creating a barebones bus-capacity reporting mechanism
