remarkable-splash's Introduction

reMarkable splashscreen

replacement for remarkable-shutdown / show any image

Why

  • remarkable-shutdown resets the background to black before displaying the image. The goal is to have the last page still displayed, even when the devices has powered down.(utilizing a mostly transparent png)
  • could be used as a simple util for showing images

Usage

remarkable-splash file-path

without any parameter the /usr/share/remarkable/poweroff.png is displayed

How to compile

the usual

source
qmake
make

remarkable-splash's Issues

Support 2.5.0.27

It seems it does not work with the latest remarkable version on shutdown.

Maybe because it shows the "shutdown" dialog where it paints the whole screen black before actually shutting down?

Support version 2.11

hello
I want to use my remarkable as an image displayer. I tried this tool but nothings is showed, so i guess its a version problem...
Is it supose to work with 2.11 and would it be a hard work to make it compatible ? (i have zero experience with c++ ...)

thx
