Netflix Clone for EAD-DBMS Project for Punjab Engineering College

PECFLIX

Netflix Clone with functioning Recommendation System that uses Collaborative FIltering. This project was made for the Engineering Analysis and Design and Database Management System courses at Punjab Engineering College for the academic year 2018-19.

Downloading the Project

To download the project run

git clone https://github.com/ryzbaka/PECFLIX.git

Dependencies

Run the following commands to install the necessary dependencies.

pip3 install numpy
pip3 install pandas
pip3 install django
pip3 install scikit-learn
pip3 install pillow
pip install --upgrade django-crispy-forms

Running the program

To run the program, run the following commands in your terminal.

cd PECFLIX
python3 manage.py runserver

This will start the development server and will allow the website to be accessed through a web browser. The terminal will display a link, which when clicked will automatically direct you to the PECFLIX website

Note: Do not close the terminal after the runserver command as it will cause the development server to shut down, making the website inaccessible.
