This readme is still a wip.

Why use AWBW Replay Player over the AWBW Website

• Custom Animations which highlight actions better:

Other Features:

• Faster loading times. (No need for any loading in between turns.)
• Permanent saving of files. (No 1-2 week deletion of replays.)
• The ability to undo to the end of the previous turn.

Status

Check out the Latest Releases for the lastest release of this replay player.

This project is still under active development, and some things are likely to change a lot.

The current version is stable and has many of the basic features. Unfinished aspects include, replay rewinding by turn, unit/tile information, active camera, and many other things.

Code quality of this repo is not great yet. The aim will be to improve code quality after making sure things work.

awbw-replay-player's Issues

When a new replay gets added to the replay select, it doesn't visually appear

Powers are not readded if going backwards in time.

Map should be downloaded alongside replay

Also should be added for drag and drop.

Replay Select gets locked up if you go back from a replay

Fog display for team battles is incorrect

Only displays a single player's fog.

The power bar should show that the player is in a power.

Plus also the bar might need a bit of an update in looks.

Add a way to select a specific turn

Loading another map while an animation is playing will cause Scheduling issues

Partially fixed in 5ef9f95 but should be reorganized so that multiple schedules are not required. (Currently at minimum it takes 2 frames for it to complete.)

Change all int IDs to long IDs to make sure things don't crash eventually

Store map textures so we don't continually create new textures every time we load a map

If you fail to log in, it will continue to fail to log in

Sub dived isn't a bool

Offending Replay

Units that can't return fire still look like they can.

The following is a short list to look at while solving this issue:

• Transports
• Long Range vs short Range
• Sonja's ability

Can we find another example of Game Type 'A'

Currently only 478996.zip has shown game type 'A'. It would be useful to know if we can get more of these.

Crash will happen if replay controller is escaped from before load.

Newly built units are not greying out.

Really should add more checks to tests for stuff like this.

There are no Replays popup is offcenter

Rainy weather on the first turn didn't show visually

Need to double check which replay caused this.

Hidden units no longer animate in on startup

Likely because they get started at 0 alpha for a moment or something.

Dragging and dropping a replay should close the GetReplayInterrupt

Shrinking Drawable has no test coverage

Definitely need to test scaling

Check how draws are handled on replays

Is a thing that gets checked upon starting a turn.

Property Income can be wildly off in some cases

Stealths shouldn't be hidden unless both Hide Units in Fog is enabled, and the current player doesn't own them

Make sure team members can see them as well.

Also maybe an additional toggle to hide hidden units?

Going to next turn seems to floor unit damage.

Unsure where this is exactly yet.

If GameMap fails to load the map, it will fail silently

If the map has been updated and that update moves buildings, a replay will crash the player to desktop

Need to better handle this error case. Maybe a pop-up prompt should be shown.

Dragging and Dropping a replay should open up the replay select.

Mountains don't increase sight of infantry

Usernames aren't downloaded when downloading a new Replay

Some players don't get property value updated

Likely because the country id's are wrong.

Need to abstract out countries into something more easily searchable.

Add a tool tip which shows what the next action will be

Add a stunned indicator for Von Bolt super

Allow switching what country a player is.

Log in UI shouldn't hide on fail

Sortlist is ran on the wrong players if changing maps in tests

Can zoom the loading map

Loading spinner should block it.

Add a low fuel / low ammo indicator

Allow moving of the Turn control and the player list

The player list may take a bit of work to do.

Power Action possibly doesn't check all changes

If the main player hits a unit they don't know about, they may not tell. Likely need to parse the other player stuff

Money is not updated when building units or repairing units.

Replays ending in the draw may crash the game

A replay ending in a draw may have a null actions.

Should actions be always non-null? Should we have a special case handling here?

Add a unit/terrain detail window

Like the one on AWBW.

When a pipe seam is replaced with pipe rubble, the new tile may end up drawing over the top of buildings

May need to look into the container system in order to see about making a container that can replace a child with one of the same ID and Depth in order for this to not happen.

Allow switching which direction units face

There are no replays popup doesn't hide once getting a replay

Players list should indicator if a power is being used atm.

Log in UI should have immediate response

Failing to load a map keeps the loading screen forever
