Hosting

We need to figure out a place to host the images.

The low-tech way would be to use Github but they might not like that.

Alternately we use our own domain. Since we use the .ORG aphex domain for the organisation website we can use a sub domain, or alternately a subdomain of the .COM. But then, where would we host the server?

Also depends on how dynamic the badge is and if we have some backend stuff to make that work.

There is also this: http://shields.io/

It creates the common badges in SVG (via the URL), but does some custom services too.

Some quick example:

Has a few default colors but we can probably hustle a custom bright TypeScript Blue.

The nice thing about these is how they fit with the Travis badges so people might be more amendable to putting them on their project. My OCD cannot handle it when they look off or have weird sizes, like the horrible AppVeyor badge 😉

The basic badges are URL configurable, very easy to experiment:
