klog's Issues

Documentation updates

• Remove "Bug Fixes" "Known Issues" "Features" section of release notes rather than leaving it with "N/A"
• Add more details to the installation section (images and explanations)
• Add details about how to modify the GitHub integration
• Add a DataModel section detailing the database structure and where things are located

GitHub Integration

Create a GitHub endpoint that can listen to, parse, and log relevant information regarding github events

Sendgrid integration

Integrate with sendgrid for email alerts. Prerequisite for #2

Search Area

Create a search area for further investigation of issues

• Area should have a search bar at the top, similar to the Log Feed
• You should be able to apply a time frame (to and from)
• You should be able to specify which source you want to search on

Abstract database logic into repositories

Move any logic involving the DbContext into repositories. This will allow support for multiple database types. Required for #8

Twilio Integration

Integrate with Twilio for text alerts. Prerequisite for #2

Use the new SearchBar component for the live feed

Token Updates

Update the token / authentication information for logging in. This will be useful when keeping the log feed up for extended periods of time.

1. Update the expiration so the token lasts longer than 30 minutes
2. Make the duration configurable instead of hard coded
3. Auto-refresh the token near the time of expiration

Basic Monitoring

Add the ability to have basic monitors. Initially, this could be a simple ping to make sure a website is up, but should be able to expand in the future

Akka Integration

Add Akka actors for distributed messaging and to separate "core" logic / functionality from controllers

Alerting capabilities

Add the ability to generate and send alerts.

• Should be able to alert via text and / or email
• User should be able to enable / disable alerting
• Should support default system alerts, as well as user generated, conditional-based alerts
  • x number of logs in y time
  • always for this log
  • etc

Change the doc website to be docs only

Update the docusaurus config file to host just documents, rather than everything

Postgres support

Look into adding support for postgres
