dw-question-answer's Issues

Follower's name does not display property in email notification when have new answers.

• In the email notification to followers when have new answers, name of the followers is wrong.
  -- in the email, it is "Howdy subscriber 2", but correct name is subscriber 1, not howdy subscriber 2.

Link format in question comment box does not display properly

• Insert a link into question comment box and post the comment successfully
• However, after refreshing the page, the link format displays incorrectly. Please see the following screenshot for further checking
  

Number of posts limit not working on DWQA Popular Questions widget

Quick fix:

In dw-question-answer/inc/widgets.php replace:

'numberposts' => $instance['number'],

with

'posts_per_page' => $instance['number'],

Answer comments disappear after refreshing the page

• Add a comment to the answer, the comment is posted successfully and the answer author received the notification email.
  ==>> However, after refreshing the page >> the comment which has posted before disappeared.

Notification emails don't work properly

1. When have a new answer, both question author and comment author received same notification email.(email to answer author is same email with question author (same name, same content))
2. When have new question comment, only comment author receives the email with author name of the question.
3. When have an answer comment, both comment author and answer author received the email but comment author received the email with author name of the answer.

Widgets

Hello. Would be nice to add the option to choose the widgets settings. Whether right, left or to none (full screen).

Admin can not receive email notification when have a private question

If subscribers post a public question, admin receive a email notification. But if private question, can not receive

Timestamp incorrect when submit Question/Answer/Comment

After approving new question of anonymous users, admin is author of all anonymous question

• anonymous users ask question, but after admin approved, admin becomes author of these anonymous questions

Input's placeholder disappeared on IE 8,9 in submit question page

Followers do not receive the email notification when have new answer comments.

• when have new answers, new question comments, followers can receive correctly but they can not receive new answer comments.

Display number of questions on DWQA Popular Questions widget incorrectly.

• Drag and drop the DWQA Popular Questions widget into the sidebar, set number of questions is 5.
  ==> However, in front-end, a number of posts are 7 posts

Followers can not receive the email notification when have new comment to question

• as a subscriber, leave a comment to any question.
  However, when other subscribers leave new comments to the question that you have left the comment before, you do not receive any email notification.

Repeated the questions on the previous page when I setting to display 20 questions per page

Need disable Answer's permalink or redirect to original Question

No questions are shown on questions list page on all browsers after logging in.

If I view questions list page as a guest, it is ok, all questions are displayed as usual. However, if I log in, there are no questions on questions list page.
Below is a screenshot for further checking:

Question author does not receive the email notification when have private answers

If the answers are public, question author is sent an email notification. However, if the answer is private, author question can not receive.

Replace text "by by" under the question with " by -question author"

Other users (not question author) can view the private questions

• go to backend to enable review question, however, anonymous users don't enable yet.
• Other people ( not question author) still can see the private questions from the Questions list page but can not go to single private question page.

Comment couldn't submitted in some servers (like windows).

I add this after line972 of actions.php and it fixed.

$args['comment_author'] = $current_user->display_name;

Question author did not receive the email notification when anonymous users have answered.

• As anonymous users posted answers to the question, however, question author can not receive the email notification

reCaptcha has error when enable

When enable the recaptcha functions, in front-end, appear error as on the screenshot below:

Captcha does not show up for anonymous users

As an anonymous user, go to single question page in order to post an answer. However, the captcha code does not show up, after entering full and correct info, then hit "Add answer" button, a message is shown with the following content: " Captcha is not correct"

This bug also appears in submit question page. It means that the submit question page, the captcha code is not shown

The browser back button doesn't work at once in the questions page

I've found an issue that the browser back button doesn't work at once in the questions page. I had to click two times to go back to the previous page. Tested in wordpress default themes without any other plugins.

Convert links when add new comment.

After anonymous users ask question, redirect to 404 pages

• 1. enable the settings "Question must be manually approved", and allow anonymous ask question
     -2. Ask question in front-end as anonymous, after ask
     ing question, it links to 404 page
     ==>> suggest solution: should link to single question page with a message to inform the question which is waiting approval
     or have a message to anonymous can know

Permalinks remain when change the category

1. Firstly, click on any category under a question to filter
   

And here is the result page after filtering

   ==> change category, however, not change permalink.
   

Questions are not followed automatically if answer author posts the private answer

• As a subscriber, post a public answer to the question of other people >> The question will be followed automatically
• However, if subscribers post a private answer, >> The question is not followed automatically

Line spacing between code lines becomes larger after editting

Add settings" Subscriber can post question/answer?" in back-end.

Redirect to 404 page after changing the permalink

• If set the permalink for the site as default, the question list page and submit question page work properly, however, if replace the default permalink with other permalinks (for example: Post name), questions and ask question page will navigate to 404 page when clicking on these pages.

I can't use only shortcodes

I have installed the plugin and in the configuration I have selected the pages where are shown the questions list and the submit form. Then, I have seen that I need to add some text around the DW Q&A content (question list, submit form) like legal texts, explainations, etc, but when I have added text to the content of the page I could not see the text in the page and it seems that when a page is selected to show for example the question lists the template choosed to the page is not used.

So then I have decided to use only shortcodes, but the problem is that I can't "unselect" the pages where are shown the questions list and submit form. Thus, if I deleted the pages and then I create another one, I see the questions list in the new page created (in the configuration plugin page I have not selected the new page).

Can not edit the comments for the second time on both the questions and the answers

• Steps to reproduce:
• Click on any comments to edit >> Edit the comment >> click Update button
• After updating, continue to edit this question by clicking on Edit. However, when click on Edit, nothing happens
  but if press F5 key to refresh the page, it works fine and can edit as usual.

Can not switch status of the answer when edit the answer.

When edit the answer, there are 2 positions in order to switch the status of the answer. However, only 1 position you can switch. Please see the following screenshot:

Create automatically 2 pages: "Questions" & "Ask" when active plugin for first time

After refreshing, all questions no longler display as usual

• Go to page 3 of the questions page, refreshing the page by pressing the f5 key.
• there are not questions, only message:

Duplicate the answer after changing status of the question

When ask a question as admin, don't need to wait for approval
