Introduction

This project is a simple demonstration of how to use Wireshark to track network traffic and plot the location of the source of the traffic on Google Maps. The project uses the following tools:

  • Wireshark
  • Python
  • Google Maps

Requirements

  • Wireshark
  • Python 3
  • Google Maps

Installation

  1. Install Wireshark
  2. Install Python 3
  3. Get Google Maps

Usage

  1. Start Wireshark and start capturing traffic
  2. Get the pcap file from Wireshark and run the Python script
  3. The script will make you a kml
  4. Open the kml file in Google Maps here https://www.google.com/maps/d/home
