Benchmarking nd4j

I wanted to add a popular Java library nd4j to the roster. However, there are several problems.

  1. nd4j doesn't have a stable release (i.e. hasn't reached 1.0.0 yet). The last release version 0.9.1 was published back in 2017; only pre-releases since then.
  2. nd4j is intrinsically multithreaded. If we run it without limiting the concurrency, the results will be heavily biased.
  3. The documentation is patchwork-like. For example, there is a nice tutorial on basic operation in 0.9.1, but no information on how to limit concurrency. Conversely, there is an easy way to limit concurrency in 1.0.0-beta7, but no examples of how the basic operations work.

If anyone knows how to work with 1.0.0-beta7 or how to limit concurrency in 0.9.1, help would be appreciated.
