GitHub release for each PyPI release

This is apparently the same code base as released to PyPI as the ‘statistics’ distribution, but all the releases at PyPI do not appear in this Github repository releases.

Please tag and release each commit that corresponds to a release already made to PyPI, and make that part of the release procedure for future PyPI releases also.

Please, provide release tarballs

Latest (beta) release not available at PyPI

The releases for this repository has version “v3.4.0 beta 3”. That version is not available at PyPI so is more difficult to depend on.

Please make each release (now and in the future) made at GitHub also released to PyPI for standard installation.

Incompatible with python 2.6

I was trying to work on a pull request for this module, and when I added the project to Travis CI, the python 2.6 build failed right away. Some of the failures are small differences in the doctest output, but one of them seems to be an actual bug:
