sparcnetfsu's Issues

General stuff for Allison

  • Data QAQC
  • Learn R
  • Learn the dplyr package in R for data summaries
  • Learn the ggplot2 package for making graphs in R
  • Summarize data

Automating Temperature Data

Write README.Rmd for instructions on the downloading and naming scheme for when downloading temperature data. Write R functions for automatically parsing, checking, and combining temperature data from the individual download files.

Summary Ideas

  • Number of captures per season per year
  • Number of captures of each species overall
  • Size distributions (by sex?) - histogram
  • Frequency of egg presence in individual females
  • Clutch size distributions among females (per year) - just in the spring
  • Growth of individuals over time by sex
  • Relationships of captures to environmental variables

QAQC 2019 Data

Check for duplicate marks and mis-identifcation. If sex is consistent, etc.

Generate Metadata

Need to make metadata. Try using the EML format. Can use Morpho but might try the EML R package.

Package Management

Docker will be potentially useful for making the entire compendium portable and reproducible but during development it would be useful to have a package management system. Use the renv R package.
