On your OS project, this will scan your .disk file and report block information.

CS1550 check_fs

This is a basic program that scans the .disk file of your virtual filesystem and spits out the data it finds on the filesystem blocks. This does not contain any code that will help you with your project, but it can be a fantastic debugging tool when you are trying to figure out what's going on with your filesystem.

Compile

• Compile with GCC

          gcc -o checkfs check_fs.c
  

Usage

• Run from the same directory where the .disk file is located.

          ./checkfs
