An aesthetic and productive start page to replace your factory chrome newtab page.

Features:

• Clock
• Installed apps view
• A view of your bookmarks that can be pinned onto a particular folder. Say, show only the bookmarks in the folder 'Read Later'.
• A small (as yet unimplemented) todo list

The extension is not yet distributed via the chrome webstore. It will be soon, I promise. Say within a week.

To use it in development mode. Download a copy, unzip (or simply clone) and go to ' chrome://extensions ' in your browser, check developer mode and select this as an unpacked extension.

Allow folding and un-folding bookmark folders like in bookmarks manager.

Allow renaming a bookmark.

App tray should feature most used apps.

[Feature Request] Add favicons beside bookmarks

I think favicons should be displayed beside bookmark titles. It makes scanning a long list of bookmarks easier.

Also, people like me who use favicon-only bookmarks will face issues otherwise. For instance, here's a screenshot of a section of my bookmarks bar:

And here's a shot of the corresponding Sane New Tab:

Instantly remove highlight from a bookmark entry on mouseout.

Or mouse movement creates a trail which is distracting and unwelcome.

Use background color from the theme.

Rename "undo" and "top" buttons and link them visually to the bookmarks pane

Undo and Top links don't work

They seem to point to /newtab.html#back and /root:0 respectively, but don't do anything. Did they work with a previous version of Chrome (running 28 beta)? What are they supposed to do?

De-activate undo button if further undo action is not possible.

Allow dragging and dropping a bookmark from one folder to another.

Pin as Top hides all other folders.

I expected a simple re-ordering so that regardless of alphabetical ordering the pinned folder is shown first.
