Safari does not halt form submission with invalid form

I just tried this on demo 1 -- left required fields empty, typed random nonsense into the email field, pressed submit, and the form submitted. This is the same issue I have with Safari and HTML5 validation without this polyfill.

Don't check value but check if checkbox is checked

Allows non-checked checkbox with required attribute.

email is incorrectly marking email addresses containing '.' as invalid

on Demo page 1, I tried entering [email protected] and it says invalid. If I remove the . it passes.

`searchRE` and `rangeRE` are undefined

Where are searchRE and rangeRE defined? I feel like I’m missing something here :)

Demo Issues

E-Mail Field - Pattern isn't accurate. Valid characters such as ".", " ' " and "*" aren't being allowed. I've linked a couple possible solutions based on what you wish to do:

Age - I know that it isn't very likely that a user is going to be over 99, but it happens, and Facebook faced this very issue. It is also likely in the next 30 years there will be more and more people living past 99. I would at least allow an optional '1' as the first digit, followed by two digits.

Demo links are broken

Both Dropbox links seem to be broken and aren't working.

Demo 1 doesn't work on Safari 9.1.1

tried this https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/598365/html5forms/html5forms.html and the form gets submitted without validation.

date type input doesn't work with firefox v26

compare date field functionality in chrome to firefox - chrome uses its own built-in default, firefox falls back to a regular text input.
