Reorganizing the JavaScript methods into different classes/namespaces

I'm thinking of reorganizing the functions so they are more similar to ModPE, since right now there is no organization at all, and it looks a little messy in my opinion.
Here's an example of the new way would be:

It would also mean that there would be an easier way of adding new functions into the source code; Instead of having to make a new file and add stuff to the Functions class, you would just have to add the method into the 'PlayerAPI', 'WorldAPI', or 'ServerAPI' class.

Block breaking

Block breaking does not show on MCPE is there a way to fix this. Also is there a way to fix slow chat?

Glowstone license text removed

Hey! I noticed this is a fork of glowstone but the license text was removed, and replaced with LGPL license.

The MIT license under which glowstone is distributed has a single requirement "The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the Software":

Also, if you intend to keep the LGPL license, you need to specify what files are under the MIT license and copyrighted by spacemaniac et al, and what files are under the LGPL and copyrighted by your team.

[Suggestion] Resolve Bukkit dependency error (add Spigot Nexus repo to pom.xml)

Hi guys!

So I tried to build Dragonet and found that since you guys moved over to Maven (at least I think that's what's happened) there's a few dependency issues surrounding Bukkit itself. Looks like Bukkit was referenced in pom.xml but the repo it comes from wasn't added, meaning that people who don't already have the Bukkit snapshot downloaded from another project won't be able to build.

This is a pretty simple fix - all you need to do is add a few lines to pom.xml:

PC players sinking into ground when viewed from PE client

Hi guys! Just a small bug I found.

When a PC player is walking around, anyone looking at them from a PE client will see them jittering in and out of the ground. It seems to happen mostly on gravel but I've seen it happen on grass near gravel as well.

Here's a gif of it:

Specs of all involved machines:

PE Client: iPod Touch 4th Gen (MC540ZP) running iOS 6.0.1 (10A523) and MCPE v0.10.4
- Jailbroken, but in safe mode at time of recording
PC Client: AMD Athlon (2.8Ghz) w/ 4GB RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 and MC 1.8.0 on Java 1.8.0_25
- Minecraft has LiteLoader and the Macros Mod installed.
Server: Pentium D (2.66Ghz) w/ 2GB RAM running Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS and Dragonet 0.0.2-preR1 (w/ Bukkit 1.8-R0.1-SNAPSHOT) on OpenJDK 1.7.0_65

Bugs can be annoying, but it's still an amazing piece of software!

It takes about 4 minutes before I see some chat I send 4 minutes before.

Rouge thread from UDP socket - Possible fix?

Hey guys!

I've noticed that when shutting down Dragonet, there's a rouge thread which appears to be the UDP socket. After looking at the source code, I think I've tracked it to these lines:
(Lines 93-97 in NonBlockUDPSocket.java)

As you can see, the middle line is commented out. In my testing, uncommenting that line fixes the rouge thread with no other consequences.
The reason I submitted this as an issue and not a pull request is because I'm not sure whether it's meant to be like that or not (Git versioning says that this line has both been there and commented since "Clients can join now"). So, there you go. Is it meant to be commented? Why?

crafting - duplication and item removal glitches

First of all, I would like to say that I do not know if these bugs are a problem with glowstone or dragonet. If this is the wrong place to report these bugs then please tell me.

While crafting, shift-click does not work, items have duplications in the top row of the inventory, and some items are sometimes removed from the inventory upon closing the inventory. Another bug was when I was trying to craft a wooden pickaxe, in which the sticks kept duplicating, and when I closed my inventory, all of my items except for 32 sticks were gone. I am using dragonet version 0.0.2-preR5. Here is the log:

Switch to Spigot-based Server (Cancelled)

I decided to use spigot (improved CraftBukkit) server as our code base. And we won't let people download the pre-compiled jar due to the DCMA (you saw what CraftBukkit's repo got). But we will release a BuildTool as same as clever Spigot team did! :D

Reverted pull requests, duplicate fields, strange additions to formatting: What's going on?

So, I'm really happy that my PR (#18) was accepted. However, pretty much immediately after, some... weird stuff started happening.

First, a few more normal commits were made. Stuff such as extra functions and the like. Weirdly, it seemed like TheMCPEGamer forgot to sync the files on his PC or something, as some of the stuff he edited (see 8f96a33) was removed by me. Just check the green side of BlockPlacementHandler on the merge commit (e61b2e2). See how I commented a bunch of lines out (the code was causing useItem() to be called twice)? Now check the same file on the commit directly afterwards (8f96a33). It's like the merge commit never existed...

Then stuff got weird. First, the merge was reverted. Then, a branch (revert-18-master) was merged (what, just reverting it wasn't good enough for you? PR #19) and right after that, all my new functions were added back in (c93e81c) but without all the backend stuff I did - so 1. All my bugfixes are gone and 2. next to none of my hooks and functions work anymore.
To finish it all off, said re-uploaded functions weren't even re-added into Functions.java, so they aren't usable.

Version of MCPE?

I compiled the jars and got the 0.0.3 but, I wanted to know what 0.12.1 version is it running. I thought build 8 but I can't find it using an emulator or my phone. So is this a build 7 or 6? Thanks

So, recently I went on the site (http://dragonet.org/) and found that it wasn't working anymore! http://themcpegamer.github.io/Dragonet/ still works as expected and stats.dragonet.org works just fine (in dire need of some CSS theming, but working none the less), but the root domain looks like it's broken. It does get through to GitHub (they've provided the 404) but it doesn't find its way to the gh-pages branch.

Just wondering what's going on and if you guys need a hand with it.

First of all I have to say I really like the idea of an "universal server". Thank you for trying this and keep going.

It seems I cannot login using MCPE 0.10.5? I read it supports 0.10.x but it doesn't seem to work with 0.10.5

Block updates, doors and held item problems

Block updates aren't properly sent to and from the MCPE client.
When a block is placed on the PC minecraft client, it is shown, however destruction of blocks does not update until you place a block on the PC minecraft client. When you place a block on the MCPE client, it never shows up on the PC Minecraft client (and can be walked through on both). Block destruction, however, works from the MCPE client.

Doors also behave quite strangely, (oak doors, the other ones have no texture on MCPE), however this may be Glowstone's fault. When placed on PC, they show up on MCPE and open and close on PC (these changes showing up on PE), and no changes on MCPE show up on PC. Also, when one half is destroyed, the other stays intact.

Held items. PC > PE works, but PE > PC only shows one type of an item (e.g. only showing oak wood rather than spruce, for example). Also, players with the same name (eg comp500 on MCPE and PC) can occur, so they should be kicked.

Apart from a few glitches with the networking (as specified in the changelog), this system works, and is really great. I hope that you can keep developing Dragonet.

I'm a new member to the team, and this project seems really cool. It could use some additions though. I noticed that there were packet issues, and I'm not sure if this has been tested with a bad network (packet loss). I propose we migrate the RakNet handling code over to my library (JRakLib). It's released under the GPL v3 (never mind, I have to change it to LGPL) as it is a port of PocketMine's RakLib. There should not be any legal issues as long as you give credit to PM and me.

So, I was having a look at #21, and I came up with a really cool idea: what about allowing scripts to create their own functions and methods? Something like this:

I think this could result in an incredibly versatile system: If a method hasn't been made yet, someone can just create a script that does it (by calling various org.bukkit.whatever methods) instead of everyone having to do it themselves. Someone could take such a system and make something almost like Vault out of it. Other uses include chat filters being able to allow other scripts to mess with their whitelists, permissions scripts (Ooh, that's an idea), and a whole range of other stuff.
It wouldn't be that hard to do, since Rhino is heavily dependent on strings; there could just be a Java class to keep track of who has what function, and then the ScriptAPI class can just call runFunction(str). If we do it right, it could rival Bukkit's plugin system.

So, what do you think? Cool? A waste of time? I'd like to know before I start sinking hours into it ;3

Can you use a MCPC world?
Do you need to buy a MCPE server or MCPC server?

Hi,
Trying to build this from source so I can add 0.11.1 support; getting a load of errors about missing files/symbols:

package org.bukkit.title does not exist

Presumably because I've not added something bukkit related to my build classpath... any pointers?

Please change the download sources of the libraries.

Now the download of sqllite-jdbc and mysql-connector-java all return http status code 403. So it's time to change the sources.
Two sources I found:

Out of memory Exception in UDPSocket Thread

While playing with two PC clients and one PE client, we got this exception twice. Both times it resulted in making the game unplayable for the PE, not able to detect or log back onto the server.
