Reproduce it locally

You may want to reproduce this website locally, for developement purposes for example. Here are the instructions.

Clone the sources

git clone https://github.com/duniter/website.git

Install python stuff

cd website
virtualenv .
source bin/activate
pip install pelican pelican-youtube markdown beautifulsoup4

Install system dependencies for plantuml plugin (plantuml and GraphViz utilities) :

• Install plantuml : use your package manager or http://plantuml.com/starting
• Install GraphViz : use your package manager or http://www.graphviz.org/Download..php

Generate the site

pelican

Serve it

./develop_server.sh restart 8557

The website should be available at http://localhost:8557.

Generate production site

You just need to give the production configuration file to Pelican:

pelican -s publishconf.py

You may want to change the production parameters, like the domain name: just edit publishconf.py and modify the SITEURL to whatever value you want.

For example if you want to host the site at https://my.website.org, set:

SITEURL = u'https://my.website.org'

Duniter beta version is not replaced automatically

I had to change it manually : c1e49d0

Is it how is it supposed to be done ?

typo in Mastodon link

On https://duniter.org/en/ when you look at the Social links on the right, you'll notice that the Mastodon links to ihttps://mastodon.xyz/@duniter (notice the i in front) instead of https://mastodon.xyz/@duniter

Code inside list item

As for french version of the site, there are indent errors for code inside lists.

Fix broken search

• Add SEARCH_URL in configs
• Fix link to french site in readme.md

Why a separate website ?

Why do you have a completely separate repository for a different language ?
Pelican seems to support i18n, togeether with this plugin :
