Font Weight vs Font Name

It looks like you're using the font weight to provide the variations (NoNoise etc)

I think it would be better to have each of the types be generated with different names instead. Not all programs provide options for selecting different font weights, e.g. KiCad only lets me use ScopinSans-Regular

Licence of generated font?

Hi, Scopin' Sans is a genial idea. Thanks for releasing the source code for generating it.

There is interest in adding this font to Debian, but first the licensing of the generated files must be clarified.

Could you please add a statement with the intended licence?

The MIT licence is OK for the scripts, but using it also for the generated fonts would may issues for their usage: fonts are embedded in documents and that comes with its own set of legal headaches.

A suggestion would be the OFL licence. It is the most widespread free font licence and equivalent to MIT in its ethos.
