Client-side only patch that allows you to unlock ALL cosmetics (+ emotes) in the Essential mod. Works on every version of Essential MC (1.8.9 - 1.20.6).

How to use

Grab the .jar you need from the Releases and place it in your .minecraft\mods\ folder. Take the time to go over the Compatibility table and its Notes.

Features

• Efficient, single class and light-weight thanks to mixins.
• Unlock ALL cosmetics and emotes (including developer).
• Universally compatible with any version (view Compatibility table).
• Saves equipped cosmetics to config file located in AppData/Roaming/ecu.
• Loads equipped cosmetics from config file when you toggle the Hide/Show My Cosmetics button.
• Dumps cosmetic data in AppData/Roaming/ecu (texture, geometry) when opening the game. Useful for those looking to replicate the cosmetics in their own projects.

Compatibility

Feel free to contribute to this table with a PR and a convincing screenshot. Only the major versions are tested as it takes time to do it manually.

Last Essential version checked: v1.3.2.4

Tested with downloads from essential website.

Notes

* The mod you have downloaded from essential or modrinth is the installer/updater mod. Instead, the one that you need to place in your mods folder is the one which is located in .minecraft\essential\. You need to manually run the game with the installer/updater mod once for it to appear in that folder.

^ Use the legacy release -legacy.jar which has no mod class, but has shaded mixin. This is necessary because functionality changes overtime.

How issue was created:

What happened:
Opened wardrobe, all/most cosmetics still cost coins to unlock.

Extract texture files

Hi, I'm trying to extract some textures from cosmetics. Im a little confused about how to do this.

Textures and Geometry not dumping as photo or model files

Suggestion to change the data path

Currently, the cosmetic data dump and config file are located at $LOCALAPPDATA. This corresponds to <user>/AppData/Local on Windows, but it could be undefined on other environments, such as on a Linux installation, which means the user will have to define $LOCALAPPDATA themselves.

I suggest using a subdirectory in the Minecraft game folder since game data, including mods, are usually placed there, users won't need to deal with any additional configuration, and it would keep profiles/instances separate if the user has multiple.

Heya! installed ur mod, im using fabric 1.20.1. But there's a slight problem - it crashes upon launching minecraft.

In the most recent essential update there was a heavy gui change, breaking the mod.

I downloaded essential until I downloaded this mod and I linked discord and unlinked but I have problem when I deleted all things what essentials did in .minecraft folder I installed this mod and essential again but it's doesn't works essential just load all my data what I got from first time when I downloaded it. How I can fix it if I can?

I'm trying to use this mod, but it's not working. I saw #4 and did same, I put ecu-1.2.1.jar and Essential-fabric_1-20-1.jar in .minecraft/mods also I have .minecraft/essentials folder, but in Essential wardrobe I still see a price and don't have these items. If needed, I have 1.20.1 Minecraft version and play with MultiMC client

Trouble making the mod work with Fabric

Hey,

I recently changed from a Forge modpack to a Fabric one.
The mod worked fine with forge but I have trouble getting it to work with fabric.

Essential Mod : essential_1-3-1-1_fabric_1-20-1.jar 49.8MB
ECU : ecu-1.3.0.jar
Fabric version : 0.15.9 for MC 1.20.1

• The modpack I play is a custom one made using CurseForge

Is there anything I'm missing ?

Edit: Tried downgrading to Essentials 1.3.0.3 (version released before Last Checked for 1.20.1) still doesn't work

So i put the new one 1.2.1 in the mods folder (im playing on 1.20.1 mc version), with fabric, but in game it doesn't unlock anything, any idea?

i found a comment on reddit about this mod and decided to give it a try, though I am always sceptical about mods and check them for viruses, so when I went to VirusTotal and uploaded it, there were 2 detections, from Google and Ikarus "Exploit.JAVA.Banload".
I didn't run the mod for that reason so now I'm wondering if this is like an Issue or true..
