Overflow links menu doesn't open in Firefox

The paper menu doesn't open in Firefox when clicked.

Findings so far:

  • It has to do with the dart paper_elements library
  • It doesn't affect the polymer.js version of the paper-elements library
  • It only seems to affect the Linux version of Firefox. Firefox on Windows is unaffected
  • Firefox 34 Ubuntu affected

Scroll lagginess

Check into the scroll jank on mobile. It may be due to the scroll events.

Mobile browsers send scroll events at a really low rate of maybe 2 events/second which is quite terrible. It depends on the browser of course. I'm guessing a lot of website authors are really bad when it comes to optimizing scroll events so browser vendors had to opt for the lower rate.

The chart shall show off:
