Something wrong with models

I have an 'illness' with has_one 'clinical'. Clinical belongs_to illness.
In the new view for illness I want to also create the corresponding 'clinical'. I am stuck in trying to do this.

In the illness model I have:
accepts_nested_attributes_for :clinical, :reject_if => :all_blank, :allow_destroy => true

And I get the following error when trying to create new illness:

Clinical illness must exist

The controller params accepts the attributes:
params.require(:illness).permit(:name, :description, :etiology, :patogenesis, :incidence, :prevalence, :category, :anamnesis, clinical_attributes: [:id, :inspection, :palpation, :percussion, :auscultation, :_destroy])

Also, if I don't create a new 'clinical' in the new action, nothing is rendered in the view (because it is nil, obviously).

There is definetly something I am missing out on here.

Some elements in creation is removed when validation fails

Differential Diagnoses not working

The model associations seems to work, however I don't know how to add them in the view. How do I make a list in the _form partial for illness, where all other illnesses can be added as differential diagnoses?
