Error Loading settings file

Hi,
I keep getting this error Error loading settings file: /home/user/.node-red/settings.js when I try to use this module and I was hoping you may have run into this before or may be able to point me in the right direction to get this working. Unlike with the syntax errors I do not get any more error output than what's shown above. Here is my settings.js configuration:

adminAuth: require("node-red-contrib-auth-azuread")({
        identityMetadata: 'https://login.microsoftonline.com/my-tenant-id/.well-known/openid-configuration',
        clientID: 'my-client-id',
        responseType: 'code',
        responseMode: 'query',
        redirectUrl: 'https://my-app-url/auth/strategy/callback',
        users: [
                {username: "[email protected]",permissions: ["*"]}
        ]
}),
