Hi there 👋, I'm Exneyder A. Montoya-Araque

These are some nerdy and fun facts about me

• 🛫 I come from Colombia 🇨🇴, but I'm currently living in France 🇫🇷.
• 😼 I have 4 cats 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛, and love drinking coffee ☕.
• I practice beach volleyball 🏐 and table tennis 🏓. I also enjoy watching football ⚽.
• 🤓 I'm a geological engineer and an amateur Python 🐍 developer. I hold a master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, and I'm currently doing a PhD in Engineering.
• 🔍 I’m currently working on landslides 🏔️ hazard assessment, considering both rainfall 🌦️ and earthquakes 🪨 as triggering factors.
• 📚 I have studied block-in-matrix materials (bimrocks and bimsoils), especially the tortuous failure surface developed in these materials and its consideration in slope stability.
• 💻 I like developing open-source software for solving geological and geotechnical problems, but also as teaching tools 🧑‍🏫.
• 🤝 I'm looking for people to collaborate with on open-source development and research projects.
