Readme file needs to have more details

The README.md file ought to have more details.
Include:

  • what question we're addressing,
  • what methodology we're planning to use.

Deadline for this issue: March 17.

Update project plan/work log with progress, problems encountered, etc

As we continue with the project, let's try to remember to write in our progress, what problems we encountered, etc.

We can put it into the Project Plan or we can write separate work log wiki -- the former will probably be easier for folks to find the information they're looking for.
