squint's Issues

Support active sprite changes on Aseprite.

On the client side, support active sprite switching so the user won't need to relaunch the script every time.

Formalize shortcuts

Right now they're a bit everywhere on the keyboard and don't make really sense.

• F1 can stay there, it's a classic shortcut for help anyway.
• F2 could be moved to T.
• F12 (which is actually raylib's builtin screenshot feature) could be removed as it'd be mistaken for the saving feature.
• Not really sure if Tab is a good place for options. I had Blender's Object/Edit mode toggle in mind for this.

Fix xBR-lv2 shader for Intel iGPU

Hide the console

Hide the console in Release configuration for Windows and if possible, redirect the output into a log file instead.

Lack of update on launch

As reported to me on Twitter, the client script fails to detect any changes done to the sprite when launched.

Extension package for Aseprite

Instead of having a non-descript file to drop into Aseprite's script folder, maybe offer a proper package to make the installation and upgrading easier.

GIF export

Either make squint communicate back to Aseprite the converted animation or ask it to save the resulting file into a specific location.

Determine the GUI's final location

I wonder if I should write the GUI code on Aseprite's side (located in the Sync panel) or in squint's side.

The v0.1.0 did on squint's side but for future features (thinking about GIF export), it might be more sound if the GUI was located on Aseprite's side. I'd also need to gather opinion from the users.

Port over other shaders

• xBR-lv2 without color blending
• xBR-lv3

xBRZ coming from HqMAME, it bears a GPL-3.0 licence, which would in turn make me switch squint's licence into GPL. I don't mind it, but I'll see if I should do that later.
