Doubts about the app

Hello ekke

This are not real issues, just some doubts:

1 - I've noticed that you use 3 languages en fr and german. My question is: How does the user selects the language he wants? Or a language is selected in the code and the app is released with that language?

2- About the update of the app. Let's suppose the conference program changes during the event. How does (if so) the app deals with that. The user needs to update the application in google play?

3 - How do you manage the json files with the conference content (speakers, schedule, ...) ? You create an excel (or some database) and then converte it to json, or you type directly the json?

Sorry for the inconvenience of so much questions, but this may also help others I think.

Compatibility with Qt 5.14

The README states "QtWS 2019 Conference App needs Qt 5.13.1 Release or greater". It will not work with Qt 5.14 out of the box, though. That's due to a known issue in Qt. As a result, deployment of the app to Android results in the following error when trying to start it:

Invalid package identifier when getting bag for resource number 0x00000000
Qt : Can't create main activity

I was able to get it to work with Qt 5.14 and have documented the necessary code changes here on StackOverflow. There seems to be no code that can work with both Qt 5.14 and with earlier versions, though.

After update Starred item were not shown

Platform iOS

I have installed version 1.9 and starred few sessions which I will be attending.

After updating the app to version 1.10 I no longer see my starred items.

Suggestion: open on the correct day

I was using the QtWS2018 app (Berlin) and the app always opened with the first day/tab opened. It would be nice that, when you are on one of the days of the conference, that the app opens with that day/tab active.

And another minor issue: On Android, it was close to impossible to leave the app with the device back key (it opened the left menu).

Time to support qt 6.2.x
