A simple setup script that will install and setup all of the dependencies needed to deploy a simple Rails app with Apache and Passenger on an Ubuntu 12.04 EC2 instance.
You don't have to compile Passenger from source. You don't even have to manually install Ruby. Use the Phusion Passenger APT repository. The Debian packages that we provide contain all the binaries that you need. They'll even automatically install all dependencies, including Ruby. Installing the Debian packages is much faster and uses less memory too.
