financialmapreduce's Introduction

FinancialMapReduce

Some examples of using financial data in MapReduce programs. The programs find each stock's all time high/low and a give day's high/low. Use the dataset from InfoChimps http://www.infochimps.com/datasets/nasdaq-exchange-daily-1970-2010-open-close-high-low-and-volume or https://github.com/reillywatson/nasdaq-outliers/tree/master/data/NASDAQ. Be sure to delete the dividends files.

This is the example code for the second episode of the Hadoop MapReduce screencast.

financialmapreduce's Issues

Question About Setting Run configurations for HighLowDayDriver

I purchased "
Processing Big Data with MapReduce

The tutorial nor git address the Run configuration settings for HighLowDayDriver nor the other 2 examples.

Are we reading in all daily price files? How is that specified for input?
What directory do we put these in and how do we address the directory.

Do we use output as the output specification?

Thanks for your assistance,

Chris
