- Paste any long URL into the input field.
- Click the "Shorten" button to generate a shortened URL using Bitly.
- The shortened URL is displayed, and you can copy it to the clipboard with the "Copy" button.
- Clone this repository or download the source code.
- Open Google Chrome.
- Go to the Chrome Extensions page (
chrome://extensions/). - Enable "Developer mode."
- Click the "Load unpacked" button and select the directory containing the extension source code.
Before using the extension, make sure to replace "YOUR_BITLY_API_KEY" in popup.js with your actual Bitly API key.
- Click on the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup.
- Paste a long URL into the input field.
- Click the "Shorten" button to generate the shortened URL.
- The shortened URL is displayed and can be copied to the clipboard using the "Copy" button.
