Plugin requires generated initialization vector

The documentation for the REST API indicates the iv parameter is not required, and that an initialization vector would be generated if not provided, however, leaving the field blank, or providing an empty string, or anything other than a value I generated myself (which is then the vector), returns:

property 'iv' has an invalid format in config file /etc/smartkey/smartkey-grpc.conf

Is there a Secret creation/retrieval reason this is required in the context of the KMS provider, or is there something like a keyword that can be used to indicate I wish SmartKey to generate this for me?

Bug : No steps on how to fill values for "smartkey-grpc.conf file

How can we fill values in "smartkey-grpc.conf file.
Please mention that. It will help to use it.
