I saw your Insight Labs post (http://blog.insightdatalabs.com/spark-pipelines-elegant-yet-powerful/) on pyspark custom transformers and tried it. It didn't work because the keyword_only function coudn't be found by pyspark.
So I googled and found that it was because of a change from Spark 2.0:https://codedump.io/share/kawHt6hLnoTJ/1/create-a-custom-transformer-in-pyspark-ml
once i change that first line to from pyspark import keyword_only, then it works.
