Rewrite Screen/Node system

The current system is quite silly. Why can't the Nodes be Sprites, eh? It would be really cool, and silly, to have some form of JSON markup for the menu system. Is this the way you make games?

Make game winnable

Fix so when a color is removed completely from the field it should not appear again.

Auto-updater (server)

A server to handle new update checks and push new updates to the client. Security? This kind of OS-specific?

MusicManager

Turn play_*-functions into a class MusicManager subclassing ResourceManager or somehting.

Highscore input can go outside of field

When typing long names for the highscore it can go outside of the field area. The input should act more like a regular input, with a blinking cursor and a defined area.

Dirty animation

draw() on sprites should only be called when something has changed, thus decreasing the amount of CPU needed when idle.

developer notes?

thanks for sharing and I would like to try it myself.
any help on building notes; I know this should compile on:
Mac OS X, Windows and Fedora Linux
but I do not see any Makefiles or scripts associated.
Did you use mingw on windows or MSVC?
