That's good to know. Methods on the execution path will obviously have the biggest impact.
I don't know the internals well enough to really suggest anything concrete, but clearly all the update
methods are on the execution path, e.g. classes in com.espertech.esper.epl.named

Agreed, most methods are not on the hot path and ideally there would be some performance tests in place before doing such optimisations.
