sound2light's Issues

Multiple Audio Inputs

Is it possible to handle multiple audio inputs? Either stereo, or let's say several solo mics directly into the system?

Can't save presets...

Hi all!

With the older Version 0.0.2.1.0.9 no Problems except of the delaying. The new Version 0.0.3.1.0.2. works fine so far, but i can't save Presets :( why? any help?

Not connecting

Both my mac and Colorsource AV are on the same network. Mac on wifi and the board ethernet to router. I have set the IP and port settings to match, but I'm not seeing the program connecting to the board. I am playing music and I see the wave forms and set the OSC message to playback bumps but I don't see the lights changing. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Windows x64: conflicting defintions of round

Hello,

Compiling this on windows 10 with msvc2015 I run into an error:

1>BPMOscControler.cpp(53): error C2382: 'round': redefinition; different exception specifications
1> D:\Program Files\VC\include\cmath(278): note: see declaration of 'round'

In cmath, my definition of round is:

_Check_return_ inline float round(_In_ float _Xx) _NOEXCEPT

Commenting it out makes it compile properly, but I haven't poked far enough into the source yet to determine what kind of odd side effects a float being returned might cause.

Is there a reason you don't use qRound()?

[Discussion] Support for intensity across channel ranges?

Hello,

A feature I'd like to implement for my own needs is the ability to give the osc section a range of channels, and to map the level intensity across them. The usecase is to use an LED striplight as an eye-candy realtime analyzer, where the higher the value from sound2light, the more LEDs turn on. If this sounds like a fun feature to include, I'd love to do this in such a way that I could turn this into a PR. I've just started looking at the codebase, but I'd like some feedback and opinions about this feature before I get to deeply into it. Is this something you've thought about? Does the feature sound useful?

Internal Sound File

Is it possible to have this listen for an internal sound file instead of using a microphone? And is it possible to have several instances at once? Thanks.

Zeiten für die Trigger / Triggertimes

Hallo Tim Henning,

Hi Tim Henning,

First of all, I thank you very much for development of the tool. This is really great.
Yesterday I finally was able to test it once in real environment test. Maybe I was too inattentive and the solution has lost me there, but in order that I want to find out rather ask again ..
I tested Fader, Subs, and Channel Bump Button. I adjusted each Level and pushed the upper frequency beam back and forth. In all cases, the lamps (1K PARs) could not control a time, so that, for example, instead of the lamp flashed an In or Out time is used. Is there a way to achieve this?

Viele Grüße
Fred

Compatability with M1/Ventura

Any possibility/thought of updating to work on the new Mac / Ventura?
Application freezes upon opening. (I do realize we are way out of date here!)
Thank you!

Can't open presets menu,

When I click Presets, nothing happens. Also in BPM target window, when I click Add, nothing happens.
System: win10 x64 20h2, intel i711700K, 64mb ram
installed in: C:\Program Files (x86)\ETC\Sound2Light
Version: v0.0.3.1.0.2

Can't Add BPM Target

Hello. So I'm a first time user of this software, but am familiar with the EOS software. I am trying to use the Sound2Light application on a laptop where I am also running the EOS Nomad software v2.7.4. My end goal is to be able to change the BPM of effects to match sound.

I believe that I've configured both the EOS software shell settings and show control settings, and Light2Sound settings as described in the Sound2Light manual. So far, I have successfully been able to add an OSC message to bands that trigger channels to go to full and then back to out. Unfortunately, I can't get the "add BPM target" function to work.

When I click on BPM target, the OSC Message window opens, but it is blank. When I click add target, nothing happens.

Any insights here as to what I might be doing wrong would be very helpful. Thanks.
