Connect-O

This is the source code repository for the ConnectO project. Our product utilizes React Native for the UI and Firebase for the backend.

Old Code

Our previous source code files are contained within the ./legacy folder for reference. We can delete this after we are done converted to React Native

Libraries:

  • react-native-paper as our mobile UI component library (kind of like Material-UI for web)
  • axios for data fetching

Installation

  • npm install -g expo-cli
  • create Expo account online
  • in the terminal, run expo login and enter your verified username and password
  • Download the Expo Go application from the App Store
  • log into the Expo Go app with your Expo account
  • Make sure your iPhone and computer are both on the same wifi network
  • run npm install to install all packages
  • run npm start in the terminal to see and load the app
