Getting Started

Install from here. Note that Windows will throw a warning the first time you install OOFSponder, but if you select Run anyway it will install properly. Future upgrades will not show the same warning.

Set the hours to when you work, if you don't work that day check Off Work.

Hint: If you set the start time and end time to the same time for a day it won't set up the OOF message for that day.

Compose both your External and Internal OOF message.

Hint #1: Create the message in Outlook and copy it in to the window, OOFSponder will keep all your formatting. Hint #2: Hitting Save Settings will push your OOF message to Exchange Online immediately.

Click the Save Settings button to store all your settings locally. OOFSponder will every 10 minutes and set your OOF message as appropriate.

If you close the window OOFSponder will continue running in the background. You can double click the icon in your system tray to open it back up.

If you are going on extended OOF, select the Secondary OOF radio button, set the secondary OOF messages accordingly, and then pick the day when you want your normal OOF schedule to resume. This functionality can also be used when you leave early since OOFSponder treats the time you select Enable Extended OOF as the start time for the secondary message.

Save button is hidden under taskbar

The save button is hidden under taskbar, we have to autohide the taskbar to view the save button! I am using Windows 11.

Saved OOF Messages Disappeared after Updating OOFSponder

Hi,

Pretty much the title says everything, after updating this week, both my internal and external messages became blank. It was working before I got on vacations (June 7th). Is there anyway to recover the past OOF Messages? since for external I'm unable to retrieve the message.

Receiving message stating that application is disabled

Exited and reloaded OOFSponder, and am still receiving the same error message.

Unable to save settings if using DfA microsoftsupport.com email domain account.

Transient window is displayed every 10 minutes

I have a problem where 2 windows keep displayed every 10 minutes and then disappeared automatically. The windows are empty, but from their size, I believe that they are similar to the login window.

OOF is working normally, but it is just annoying as it keeps disrupt my working.

Adding Aptos font

Can you please add the Aptos (Body) font, so it matches default Microsoft Outlook font.

OOFSponder does not launch

Hi all!

I installed OOFSponder on a Windows 11 laptop, I have the right version of .net Framework installed but the app does not launch.
Any suggestions?

Blank auth window repeatedly

I am now seeing a blank authentication window from OOFSponder pop up repeatedly.
It only stays on the screen for a second and is all white, no content.

Not Logged in! Please hit Save Settings again and log in with a valid user

I have tried save setting button many times but every time I click save button, it will prompt the message again saying "not logged in!, Please hit save button....:"

This keeps happening even after tried all this. Pop up keeps asking to save setting button to login but it seems not working that.

Tried removing all files from temporarory, removed the program, reinstalling clean didn't fix it.
Something else should I be doing here? Please help.

Not able to load OOF

I have .Net 4.8 installed and when I try to launch OOF nothing happens. It looks like something is blocking it. I excluded it from AntiVirus still not able to load.

OOFSponder no longer works

OOFSponder was working fine for years and one day just stopped working. Is this tool still maintained? It shows that I'm using my @microsoft.com account, but it no longer sets up my OOF message in Outlook/Exchange.

application wont start

i was using this application since long time
suddenly stopped working , doubleclick shows only downloading app from click once

tried uninstall/install didnt help
no logs found in EventVeiwer
any suggestions

OOFSponder interrupts my work

Having re-read how OOFSponder works, I think the "check every 10 minutes" is triggering OOFSponder to pop up on my screen briefly, then hide again. This will sometimes interrupt me clicking on something, or can affect my typing by not only interrupting what I'm typing, but setting my cursor back a character. When focus resumes I can get some interesting results.

Is there a way I can get OOFSponder to keep doing its check without popping up in the foreground?
