MacOSX and iOS XMPP client.

Eloquence

This is an alternative XMPP/Jabber instant messenger for Mac OSX and iOS written in Swift. It was created as an alternative to Adium, which is not actively developed anymore and also is based on libpurple, which does not contain the newest XMPP features. Also it adresses the lack of a good client for iOS ... with mod_push, which is available for ejabberd it makes sense to do that now.

OSX and iOS version is developed in parallel.

Thanks to the XMPPFramework which is the base of Eloquence.

It is not planned to develop clients for other platforms. As for Android there is the outstanding Conversations and for Windows and Linux there is the at least standing Gajim.

It is also not planned to add other protocols beneath XMPP.

XEP-xxxx: OMEMO Encryption

OMEMO is an XMPP Extension Protocol (XEP) for secure multi-client end-to-end encryption. It is an open standard based on Axolotl and PEP which can be freely used and implemented by anyone.

If we go through with this this will also give us the chance to rethink the wire format. (Axolotl v2 and OLM while doing basically the same thing use different wire formats.) By making OMEMO a full spec that doesn't just reference another one we have the chance to make our own choices.

Unfortunately it is always a mess with XCode, so some spring cleaning is needed.

XEP-0313 archived messages are not loaded correctly due to wrong date

Seems the date in core data is wrong, so messages are not fetched correctly.

Add configuration option to switch incoming and outgoing sides

... and it needs wording.

Basically this is a war of opinions. So there should be a configuration option.

Default is: Incoming on the right side, outgoing on the left side.
