Unexplained error message

This error message:

xxx@xxx-Asus-P8Z77-V-Pro:~$ sudo dexattach --check --verbose /dev/ttyUSB0
Opening /dev/ttyUSB0 and setting line discipline
Cannot set line discipline: No such device or address

is not explained at all. I can't figure how to fix the problem.

P.S.: The dexdrive is plugged, before booting the computer. I even tried with the serial ports of a PCI-Express external card (i corrected ttyUSB to ttyS). Still the same error.

3rd party card not read

i've dumped a bunch of cards successfully today with this tool, thanks very much

I have one 3rd party card that wont read. can you suggest best method to debug if this is either a dex drive or software issue? card reads fine in the ps1.
