General info

A simple list making app that allows a user to add and remove items easily and also find their nearest supermarket for when they do need to go shopping.

Technologies

• ShoppingItems - version 1.0
• XCode version: 12.0 Beta
• iOS: 14.0 with iPhone 11 Pro (simulator) and iPhone X (device)

Setup

Click on "Clone or Download" > "Open in XCode" > "Open in XCode" > "Clone" and then wait for the project to clone into XCode OR "Download Zip" > unzip the file > open the folder > double-click on the ShoppingItems.xcodeproj > open in XCode

Features

• Easily add items using the text entry field
• Eadily remove any items with the stand left swipe or by using the 'Edit' function and then selecting the item to be removed
• MapKit integrationt to allow the user to find their nearest supermarket

Future Features

• A detailView with a Picker that will allow the user to show the quantity of the item they want
• Have the MKPointsOfInterest show a bit more information about each of the shops such as opening times or rough travel time
• Allow users across a defined group share their shopping lists
• Cross check the items on a list with the stock in a store and allow the user to just see or reserve the item for pickup
• Create a Favourites list to allow easy addition to the list for items that are frequently bought (MLModel or one the user can define their self)

Project is: Under Development

Inspiration

The Bear application is a beauty and I can only aspire to make something as simple and functional as that but the world does need more list applications...
