civ6mods's Introduction

A collection of civ 6 mods.

Mods

Gameplay Mods

  • Constant Harvest Yields - Makes resource harvesting provide a constant yield boost rather than scaling with game progression. Also replaces Magnus' Groundbreaker promotion.
  • District Cost Rework - Reworks district cost to be based on number of districts already built and city size rather than game (tech/civic) progression.
  • Faster Roads - Makes road movement faster. That's all.
  • Unit Attrition - Units take damage every turn when they are not sufficiently close to a friendly city. This significantly slows down the rate of map exploration.

UI Mods

  • Play the Keyboard: Global Hotkeys - Adds key bindings to control minimap size, volume levels, ambient time of day and toggle quick movement/combat.
  • Map Tacks + - It's map tacks, but with even more icon options. What a plus!

Modding mods

  • Settings Manager - Provides an easy way for other mods to declare user configurable settings. Provides users an easy in-game UI to change settings.
  • Settings Manager Example - A simple example usage of the functionality of Settings Manager.
  • UI Plugins Framework - Provides other mods the ability to easily add UI elements to parts of the in-game UI without needing to overwrite the base game UI files. Provides methods to add buttons
  • UI Plugins Example - An example usage of the features of UI Plugins Framework.

civ6mods's Issues

[Question] Add sth. to InGame.xml without replacing?

Hi,
I also wrote at steam, but it seems you are not being notified for comments on plugin workshop page?

the notifications mod (which I continue, orginal code comes from Hellblazer) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1663736851
adds NotificationSlide to the InGame.xml file, so notifications can slide down on the right hand of the screen.
How can I add this without editing InGame.xml? Is it possible with your "InGame_Screen" plugin? Unfortunately I see no example code for this particular one.
And I guess the modinfo file is also relevant? But it is not included in your examples, only a "civ6proj" file I never heard of (I never use "ModBuddy" to make mods, maybe that is why)

[Bug] UI is broken on Linux with UI Plugins Framework

When using the UI Plugins Framework, the top bar is unclickable, leader images fall behind it, and yield icons do not update. See here for an example.

Tested with latest Civ (6, New Frontiers pass) as well as base Civ and only this mod installed. All demonstrates the same behavior.
