Hi @pr0pz.
Thank you for the feature request. I think the idea of a "Size mask to show full source" option is a great idea. The reason for there being an initial crop/mask is because I had some feedback that upon first using the filter, people saw no changes and thought it wasn't working. A button that expands the mask to the source size seems like a good compromise that would work for everyone. I'll add it to the list of things to do for the next release.
