Formula bar white-out using a dark theme

When trying to edit a cell in et (i.e., spreadsheets) using a dark system theme, the formula bar is all white making it impossible to view the text. I'm running the latest Manjaro version 20.0 and gnome-shell version 3.36.2.

Switching to a light system theme confirms that the formula bar works and has the correct information.

Is there a way to use WPS et and a dark system theme?

Fcitx input method is broken with 11.1.0.9615

I suggest adding [ "$QT_IM_MODULE" = "fcitx" ] && QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx5 to /app/extra/wps-office/{et,wpp,wps,wpspdf}.
This works for both Fcitx4 and Fcitx5, though only tested a Pinyin method.

Please remove the internet / network permission or make it optional. There is no need for network in this office suite, most likely just for telemetry / spying reasons.

Unusable WPS 2019 desktop file

Since a recent update a desktop file called WPS 2019 is exported, which does not have an icon and does not work at all. When trying to run the specified exec command /usr/bin/flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=/usr/bin/wps --file-forwarding com.wps.Office @@ %F @@ you get the following output bwrap: execvp /usr/bin/wps: No such file or directory.

I would suggest to just remove this desktop file.

The command flatpak run com.wps.Office.et, .wpp, and .wps not work

Opening a presentation extremely slow, unless internet permission is revoked

Installing this flatpak as is makes opening a presentation in WPS extremely slow.

It takes several minutes (4/5) for it to open a presentation I have.

However, if I revoke internet access:
sudo flatpak override com.wps.Office --unshare=network
the presentation will open in a matter of 1/2 seconds.

Just to double check:
sudo flatpak override com.wps.Office --share=network
turns back to the old slow behaviour.

I had some problems before with WPS Office being extremely slow in opening file, but thought it was related to missing fonts. See here. In fact those problems didn't happen with the snap version, which already blocks internet access...

flatpak WPS in Dockerfile

Hello

I am trying to install flatpak with WPS in docker container and build the application in Dockerfile based on ubuntu 20.04.
I managed to install flatpak, but when I try to instrall WPS office I get this warning:
bwrap: Creating new namespace failed: Operation not permitted
Warning: While trying to apply extra data: apply_extra script failed, exit status 256

then in next step I get:
error: Failed to install com.wps.Office: While trying to apply extra data: apply_extra script failed, exit status 256
The command '/bin/sh -c flatpak install flathub com.wps.Office -y' returned a non-zero code: 1

On the other hand, if I install other apps like chess in flatpak I got only the first warning and the apps was installed.

Any ideas how to solve this error?

Does not use kde portal for dialogs.

I'm using a dark theme and it's really messing up my save dialogues making the text white on a white background. Other flatpak applications use xdg-desktop-portal-kde to provide file dialogs which have no issue, however wps does not.

zh_CN support

Is it possible to support language extensions like com.wps.Office.Locale.zh_CN by mount zh_CN mui packages at extra/wps-office/office6/mui/zh_CN? Here is the method to support Chinese on ArchLinux.

Force light theme

Since dark theme causes a lot of issues and the app itself isn't designed with dark theme in mind, I think it would be better to just force using light theme.

Backup Management does not work

I have just found hard way that backup management does not work in Flatpak distribution of WPS office, latest version as of today.
While installed from RPM, Backup Management works as expected.
Default backup location is /home//.kingsoft/office6/data/backup/

[Open] The WPS-Office dictionary does not work in version 11.1.0.9604

After installing WPS-Office, I found that the dictionaries in the selected languages are not working.
Not even adding manually to the folder.

See the gif image below:

The wps-office is in the correct language in PT BR, but the dictionary does not work in Brazilian Portuguese and other languages.
It also does not suggest correct words at the time of typing.

Note: In the Arch and ArcoLinux distros, where WPS-Office is installed via repositories, dictionaries of other languages also do not work.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
Is there a fix or solution for this problem?

WPS Presentation without icon

Files opened as new windows instead of opening in a tab

In Ubuntu 18.04 (and Mint 19.1 Cinnamon) if I open a new file (.docx etc) from the file browser it will start a new window even if there is one currently running instead of opening the file in a tab on the appropriate (writer, presentation etc) already running app.

This might also be related to the file associations. None of the files were default or even recommended in the file manager and I had to select it from the all applications list.

WPS PDF can't open url's from the documents

When i click on a link in the wps pdf, nothing happens, it doesn't open the link in the default browser as expected.

Sudden crash when opening settings

Dear Maintainers,
whenever I try opening the settings, the app crash immediately, at least in my Debian Sid system.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to get crash logs for flatpak app.

Upgrading to the latest version breaks Ibus.

Used to run fine with Ibus, but upgrading to 11.1.0.9604 Ibus no longer works.

Reverting back to 11.1.0.9522 with command flatpak update --commit=ba2ffc297b6f827ea285d20d1e699793af2fb53cc102e7015593db8d2f75d438 com.wps.Office does not help, looks like it's broken for good.

WPS office cannot save the status of login

After closing and opening again, I lost the login status of the WPS account.

Instead of accessing directories by each xdg, --filesystem=home would have more liberty like users can access all the directories they have in HOME dir.

Font hinting setting ignored

Hi,

Running KDE Plasma. If I switch my antialiasing from RGB to none, which updates /home/[user]/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf, and relaunch WPS it obeys the setting. But if I switch hinting from slight to none, or to full, there is no change in WPS rendering. Can this be fixed?

WPS doesn't launch in all-in-one mode

I've installed the WPS then I tried to change it to make it available to open all-in-one. Then after restarting the WPS ... it doesn't run anymore.
