I added gsettings reset-recursively org.gnome.rhythmbox.plugins.alternative-toolbar, but it says:

No such schema “org.gnome.rhythmbox.plugins.alternative-toolbar”

typo - should be "org.gnome.rhythmbox.plugins.alternative_toolbar" i.e. with an underscore
